Abominable snow…dog?

Ziva Snow

A mysterious creature was sighted in a local park Tuesday.

Could it be the elusive Abominable Snowman…?

Closer inspection confirmed that, in fact, it was another relatively rare sight,

A black Golden Doodle,

or as she prefers to be known,

Ziva the Abominable Snowdog…!

Snow joke…..

The crew were making the most of what was left of the snow in the park today.

and rolling…

and chewing…

I did tell them that there was more of the white stuff on the way…

Potentially quite a bit…

They said that was fine…

If it snows it snows…

But for now…

“We’ll Partay…!!!!!”

That is the beauty of dogs…they always live in the moment…

To coat or not to coat……

It was cold today.

Cold enough that some of the pooches were wearing coats.

Angus doesn’t mind coats…

And sometimes he just needs to take his coat off…regardless of the weather.

Today was one of those days…

Kira and Benny tried to help him in his quest….

At least I think that is what they were doing…

Out of the mouths of babes…..

Reggie experienced his first snow today.

It was really interesting to see him come upon the realisation that everything outside was covered with cold, wet, sticky stuff that appeared to be falling from the sky.

“It’s called snow Reggie”

After some initial bravado, a bit of an explore (and his normal ablutions) the actual scale of this icy ‘intruder’ began to hit home. It was everywhere and he couldn’t get away from it.

“Are you sure that it’s safe?”

Molly, the seasoned professional, took it all in her stride.

Reggie looked to her for guidance on how he should react and what exactly he should do. He also wanted to know whether the white stuff was going to be around for a while.

“Do we get a lot of this Molly?”

Ever the understanding big-sister, Molly offered no consolation.

“Suck it up Reggie”.

” As they keep saying on the TV, Winter is Coming…!” (I didn’t realize that Molly was a GoT fan…).

“You’ll get used to it….it’s what us Canadians do…”

“Bloody Snow…!”

It’s the first time that I have seen Reggie look anything but enthusiastic.

But, with the wind whistling around my ears and the paths already becoming slippery I did understand exactly how he felt.

Winter is indeed coming….for now…

Keep warm Poochpeeps.

You just can’t lick it…!

Pete intimated today that this snow stuff is his favorite cold weather stuff to run around in…..even though it can get everywhere if you’re not careful…!

"and believe me...I'm trying..."

“and believe me…I’m trying…”

Indeed he thinks it can’t be licked…no matter how much effort he puts in…!
